Gujarati School
A Gujarati school is a community-driven educational initiative designed to teach children the Gujarati language, culture, and traditions in a fun and engaging environment. These schools operate on weekends or after regular school hours, providing a structured curriculum that includes reading, writing, and speaking in Gujarati, along with cultural activities that connect children to their heritage.
The Garvi Gujarat Association of Canada (GGAC) is proud to support and nurture the Gujarati school program in Edmonton, ensuring that the next generation stays connected to their roots while growing up in a multicultural Canadian society. Our program is thoughtfully designed to make learning enjoyable and meaningful for children of all ages.
Medium of Instruction
Classes are conducted primarily in Gujarati with English support, making it easy for children to follow along while building fluency in their mother tongue.
Curriculum
Our age-appropriate curriculum covers Gujarati alphabets, vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills, progressing from beginner to advanced levels.
Cultural Focus
Students learn about Gujarati festivals, traditions, history, and folklore, helping them develop a strong sense of cultural identity and pride.
Co-curricular Activities
Beyond language lessons, children participate in music, dance, drama, and art activities that bring Gujarati culture to life in creative and memorable ways.
Moral Education
Our program incorporates values-based learning through stories and discussions, instilling respect, kindness, and a strong moral foundation in every student.
Building strong foundations today for a culturally rich tomorrow — where every child carries forward the beauty of Gujarati language, values, and traditions.
